Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SG 听写 (“SG Tingxie”, the “Service”), provided by R AI FOUNDRY PTE. LTD. (UEN 202633449C), a company incorporated in Singapore (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Service — including sgtingxie.com and app.sgtingxie.com — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.

1. The Service

SG 听写 is a Chinese-language 听写 (dictation) learning tool. It is currently offered in early access, free of charge. Features, content, and availability may change, and the Service is provided on an evolving basis.

2. Who may use the Service

The Service is intended for learners, including children, used with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or educator. If you are under the age of 18, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. By allowing a child to use the Service, the parent or guardian accepts these Terms and is responsible for the child’s use.

3. Accounts

You may use the Service as a guest or by creating an account (with an email, or via Google sign-in). You are responsible for:

• providing accurate information;
• keeping your account credentials secure; and
• activity that occurs under your account.

You may delete your account at any time from within the Service. Notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service unlawfully or in breach of these Terms;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems;
• misuse or attempt to circumvent security features (including App Check / reCAPTCHA); or
• use the Service to infringe others’ rights.

We may suspend or terminate access that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms.

5. Early access — service “as is”

Because the Service is in early access:

• it may contain errors, and features may change, be limited, or be withdrawn;
• to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied; and
• we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that learning content is complete or suitable for any particular curriculum or examination.

6. Content and intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, and branding (including “SG 听写” and the Dottie mascot), is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended learning purpose. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law.

Learning content may incorporate third-party or open data (for example, character stroke and handwriting data) under their respective licences.

7. Your data

Your use of the Service, and the personal data you provide, are governed by our Privacy Policy. Your learning progress belongs to you; we store it to provide the Service and you can delete it (see the Privacy Policy).

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including Google Firebase, Google reCAPTCHA, Google Input Tools, Google Analytics, PostHog, and Cloudflare). We are not responsible for third-party services, and their own terms and policies may apply.

9. Fees

The Service is currently free during early access. If we introduce paid features in future, we will provide notice and applicable terms before you are charged. Continued use of free features will not require payment without your agreement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) SGD 100; and (b) the total amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Singapore law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service, or your access to it, where reasonably necessary (for example, for breach of these Terms, security, or legal reasons).

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date and, where changes are significant, take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have.
